Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar stated that trade between Islamabad and New Delhi has been halted since 2019 due to India's imposition of heavy duties on imports from Pakistan after the Pulwama attack. Dar's remarks came in response to a query in the National Assembly about trade challenges with neighboring countries, particularly India. Despite earlier expressions of interest from Pakistan's business community to resume trade, Dar clarified that there are no plans to revive trade relations with India, which have been dormant since 2019.
