Mehsana’s Tasnim Mir won the women’s title at the Gujarat State Badminton Championship in Surat. In the final, despite losing the opening game to Anand’s Adita Rao, Tasnim held her nerve to win 18-21, 21-14, 21-15. Kutch’s Adheep Gupta held off the challenge of Vadodara’s Darpan Sane to win the men’s title. Bhavin Jadav and Pushottam Awate of Anand bagged the men’s doubles crown. The women’s doubles title went to Anjali Rawat and Shenan Christian of Surat who ousted Tanisha Joshi of Jamnagar and Yuti Gajjar of Surat 21-9, 21-16. Hemendrasingh and Yuti then teamed up to win the mixed doubles title.
