On day four during the second innings, Maharaj was the last bowler to strike for Proteas, before Kusal Mendis and skipper Dhananjaya de Silva battled it around with a solid Proteas bowling line-up for 18.5 overs, ending the day four at 205/5, leaving them with just 143 more runs to chase.
