The Pittsburgh Penguins swapped a journeyman minor-league forward for a journeyman minor-league defenseman Friday afternoon as they acquired Colton Poolman from the Buffalo Sabres organization in exchange for forward Bennet MacArthur, who was playing in Wheeling of the ECHL. Poolman, 29, is a left-shot defenseman who has never played in the NHL. He has 2018 games of AHL experience, including only five games this season with the Rochester Americans, the Sabres' AHL affiliate.
