Norway Chess 2024 featuring Carlsen, Praggnanandhaa, Humpy, Vaishali and World's Best starts today
The 12th edition of Norway Chess starts today, Monday 27th May 2024. It will go on till Friday 7th June. For the first time, the tournament is introducing a Women's event with an equal number of players, rounds, same format at the same playing hall. The six-player double round-robin tournament will be played in both Open and Women's event. Each draw will be resolved by Armaggedon. Both reigning World Champions - Ding Liren (CHN) and Wenjun Ju (CHN) will be seen in action along with World no.1 - Magnus Carlsen (NOR). Round 1 starts today from 5 p.m. CET, 8:30 p.m. IST. Apart from youtube, there will be live broadcast on Sony Liv with Carina Olset Hovda, Tania Sachdev, and one surprise guest every day.
