
Driving a micro-car is one thing, having a humanoid robot lace up for a boxing practice session is another. That's exactly what IHMC's Nadia was up to, or more specifically, being remotely controlled for boxing training using a simple virtual reality motion capture setup. Simply put, a remote IHMC engineer took charge of Nadia's movements, demonstrating the power of the company's advanced teleoperation system. The successful test highlights the potential for humanoid robots in dynamic, real-world tasks. Some potential applications include work in the nuclear industry, contactless delivery, minimally invasive surgeries, and of course, self-driving cars. There's no word yet
