Zhang Zhijie died Sunday night after collapsing during a match at the Badminton Asia Junior Championships in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The 17-year-old was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead despite repeated efforts to revive him by the tournament’s medical team and doctors. The hospital has yet to disclose the official cause of death, but it is suspected he experienced sudden cardiac arrest.
