David Llada on Chessdom: "Exceptions are granted to reward submission"
David Llada is a household name in the world of chess. After working extensively as a chess photographer, he was hired by FIDE as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer. He left the post last year, and only months later asked for permission to work as a photographer for an independent media company (i.e. not FIDE). He was shocked to hear that he would only be granted to work with restrictions, so he refused the offer. In an interview conducted by the Chessdom.com team, he talks about this incident and about his experience as a FIDE employee. | Photo: David Llada's X account
